| If you have some high value items, antiques or works of art in your home, you will want to ensure that your household contents policy adequately covers them, and that each item of value is specifically listed on your policy schedule.
Most household contents insurance policies will have a single item limit, i.e. they will only cover an individual item up to a specific value, and this maximum value might not be sufficient to cover your antique or work of art.
We do however have some specialist home insurers who will consider your application, if you have some high value items, antiques or works of art. You may need to ensure certain security requirements are met, such as installing a burglar alarm or safe, but at least you will have peace of mind knowing that you are covered.
We work with specialist household insurers to find the right insurance policy for you.
What we need to know
Our specialists will need to know details of your high value items, and so it is helpful if you are able to have this information to hand.
In particular they will want to know details about the description of each item and its value.
Our home insurance specialists will then use their expertise to hopefully find you some household contents insurance that meets your needs.
